Karnataka University is the oldest university in India and offers quality education for students. It is being recognized by UGC for its excellence in study provision and it is also being accreditated with 5 stars by NAAC. There are colleges from Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkot, Belgaum and Karwar which are affiliated to Karnataka University.
This university has a good academic record in field of management, microbiology, genetics and other fields apart from it; university also has collaboration with USA, France, Germany and other universities from such countries. This collaboration has helped students to get more exposure in education systems of other countries. There are many colleges in Karnataka that are affiliated to this university. There is PG center located in Belgaum for Master of Education (M.Ed). There is also another PG center in Karwar offering M.Sc. The next PG center is in Bijapur offer MA and PG course.
