Karnataka CET

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (Karnataka CET) is an entrance exam conducted by the Government of Karnataka for students who want to seek admission for the undergraduate course in technical field that is offered by various colleges and institutes in Karnataka.
Courses:
·         B.Tech
·         B.Arch
·         BE
·         MBBS
·         BAMS
·         BUMS
Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria are different as per student wants to seek admission for:
For Health Science:
·         Students who wants to take up mental and dental course should be have higher secondary passing certificate from any recognized state board with at least 50% marks in PCM.
·         Students who want to take up Ayurveda/Homeopathy or Unani should bring 50% marks in PCB subjects.
·         Student’s age must not be more than 17 yrs.
For Engineering course:
·         Candidate must be 12th pass out with at least 50% marks in PCM subjects or else should bring 45% with aggregate.
·         Candidate who is appearing for the final exam can also apply for the test.
For Architecture:
Apart from 12th pass out certificate, students should bring 40% marks in National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
Examination Pattern:
The exam pattern is divided into 4 sections:
  • Biology
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
Candidate has to appear for the 2 day to appear for this exam.  On the first day candidates will be asked from Mathematics and Biology and for the second day Chemistry and Physics.
Candidate who wants to seek admission for B.Arch, for them appearing for KCET exam is not compulsory, but they have to appear for NATA. Every paper is for 60 marks with 80 minutes for per paper.
Application Procedure:
The application form for KCET can be obtained though speed post by paying Rs 750/- DD under the favor of ‘The Executive Controller’. Candidate staying outside the Karnataka has to pay DD of Rs 5000/- along with the envelope for the request for the form.
