courses like retail marketing, hospitality, including courses in Smartphone
development, software development and microbiology.
For instance, Sophia College has social reform, KC has
research lab and Jai Hind offers on-campus internship for junior college

Sophia
College for Women: To allow students
getting into social activities, the college has started The Social Reform Club
where students can work on activities and campaigns. Apart from this, college
has introduced add on courses like Research Methodology in Social Science and
Humanity. Students completing 3rd yr arts can take up this 3-month course.
Jai Hind College:
Located in Churchgate, South Bombay the college has introduced certificate
course in forensic science, smartphone app development, research methodology, Entrepreneurship
Elementary and Indian Cultural Heritage and Plant Tissue Culture. Adding to
this, the college also offers PG Diploma in Broadcast and Business Journalism
having creative writing course.
St Xavier’s
College: This is autonomous college in Mumbai offers new 3 yr degree
course- Bachelor of Vocation, available in Software Development and
Tourism. The best thing about this
course is its multiple exits. Student can leave the course in the first year
with advance diploma, at the end of the year.
HR College:
The college introduced 3yr degree course in Bachelor of Vocation. This course
has similar benefit to the course offered by St Xavier’ College. The course aims to help students in
developing skills and give importance to practical experience.
KC College: The college has introduced 2yrs master’s
course in media and entertainment along with PG degree course in analytical
chemistry and life science. With this
research course, the college aims to turns itself as a thriving research hub.
