Bharathidasan University every year conducts entrance exam for candidates who want to take admission in B.Ed course. This course is being offered through distance education under Department of Distance Education. This university was established in 1982 under Act of TN Government. This university is being recognized by UGC and all the distance courses including B.Ed course is being approved by DEC.

Eligibility for B.Ed Entrance Exam:
· Candidate who want to take up this course should be Graduate from any recognized University with at least 55% marks in B.A /B.Lit in subjects like Chemistry, Tamil, English, Mathematics and other subjects that are prescribed by the university.
· Candidate should have 2 yrs working experience in teaching profession.
· Candidate who want to B.Ed in Economics, Commerce and Home Science stream then should be graduated in this specific subject.
Examination Pattern in B.Ed Entrance Exam:
All the questions in this entrance exam is to be completed on 2 hours consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. All the questions are objective type multiple questions. Paper are divided into 2 parts, where part 1 consist of General English Comprehension, Logical, Analytical Reasoning and Part 2 consist of question according to the subjects that are taken by candidate.
Application Procedures for B.Ed Entrance Exam:
The application form can be obtained from universities learning centers that are spread across TN and Chennai. The list of study can be obtained from the university website http://www.bdu.ac.in . Candidate has to pay DD of Rs 500/- along with the requisition letter. The DD should be drawn from nationalized bank and under the favor of “Centre of Distance Education, Bharathidasan University”. Candidate has to follow all the procedure that are necessary for admission.
