Approx 22.65 lakhs students to appear in CBSE exam 2014



In 2014, CBSE shall expect a record high number of students giving Classes X and XII CBSE Board Examinations as 22.65 lakh students have registered to appear in 2014 Board exams in the city, breaking the last year’s record of 21.76 lakhs aspirants.
The examination will commence on 1 March, 2014 and will observe 70,000 more students for the same. Examination schedule for both classes will officially be out in the end of December.
CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi, informed that in 2014 board exam registration there is a balance observed in the number of students taking the external and school-based exams as 55% students have opted for the school-based exam.
As per the CBSE, in 2014 students from 14,700 schools will appear for board exam which is 800 more than 2013.
