Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD)


Introduction
National Institute of Design (NID) is one of the eminent Institutes in India offering various courses in Design. This Institute has been providing excellent industrial design education for six decades. There are undergraduate programme and postgraduate programme in this institute. Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) is the undergraduate programme having duration of four years. Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (PGDPD) is the postgraduate programme having duration of two or two and a half years.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to pass plus two exams or its equivalent such as AISSCE, IB or ISC to become eligible to apply for this test. They should not be more than 20 years of age. Three years relaxation will be given to reserved category students in this case.

Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) is 4 yrs UG programme offered in different areas like:
  • Product Design, Furniture & Interior Design, Ceramic & Glass Design
    (Under the faculty of Industrial Design)
  • Graphic Design, Animation Film Design, Film & Video Communication, Exhibition (Spatial) Design
    (Under the faculty of Communication Design)
  • Textile Design
    (Under the faculty of Textile, Apparel and Lifestyle Design)
