Fashion and Television Institute of India (FTII)

Fashion and Television Institute of India (FTII) is one of the prominent institutes in India, offering courses and training for aspiring students in film industry.  The main objective of this institute is to train students and to make them know about the technical and important aspect of film and TV.  Students are allowed to make film in documentary or short films and they are being showed in various festivals.
It is an autonomous institute which is run under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Government of India. The director of the institute is being appointed by Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC).  It has delivered some of the prominent film makers and celebrities who are making raves around the world. Directing, acting and other technical aspect of film making are the fields which are taught.
Courses Offered:
Courses offered in FTII are related to the area under which the student is taking up.  There are short term courses for direction, cinematography, editing, acting, 2D and 3D graphic designing, acting in TV and other. Candidates are being made to participate in the various fields and to understand the field perfectly.
Facilities provided:
The FTII offers all the facilities that are necessary for students to learn in their particular field.  Like all the equipments required for direction, cinematography, acting etc. For every course there are various studios where students can have practical of subject taken.
There are also some libraries and computer labs where students are being taught of computer knowledge for technical work.
The FTII also offers awards for their students for their excellence in particular fields. There is also hostel provided for students coming from other cities.
