Central Board of Secondary Exam Pre-Medical Test (CBSE PMT) which is also known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) under the guidance of CBSE is conducted for students who want to seek admission in Medical or Dental course offered medical colleges which is recognized university and state government across India. This entrance exam is conducted in two stages such as Preliminary Exam and Final Exam.
Eligibility:
Students who want appear for the entrance exam should have to complete all the eligibility criteria that are necessary:
· The candidates are allowed to appear at least 3 times.
· Candidate should pass 10+2 from any recognized board or any pre-medical recognition board with at least 50% marks.
· Candidate who are currently appearing for final exam or waiting for the result can also apply for the test. However, it is mandatory that they should submit the result or else the admission will be cancelled.
Examination Pattern:
The exam for the CBSE PMT exam is divided into 2 stages Preliminary and Final exam:
Preliminary Exam:
· There will be 200 multiple types of objective questions and students have tick the answer in machine gradable sheet.
· Candidates will be asked from PCB where Physics and Chemistry questions will be of 50 questions and Biology will consist of 100 questions.
· the exam duration is of 3hrs
Final Exam: Candidate who has successfully appeared for the first stage is only allowed to sit for the second:
· There will be 2 papers with objective type questions
· Paper one will be from Physics and Chemistry
· Paper two from Biology and Zoology
· The time duration is of 2 hrs.
Application Procedure:
The application form can be obtained through post or from Board counter by request and paying DD of Rs 850/- and for SC/ST Rs 500/- under the name of Secretary of Central Board. The application form can also be downloaded through board website www.cbse.nic.in with the payment of Rs 800/-.
