Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is the most influential institute for media studies. It offers various courses in mass communication like print journalism, photo journalism audio and video journalism and PR.
It conducts all India level entrance examination for students who want to take admission in PG diploma course in mass communication. It also conducts small workshops and short courses.
Eligibility:
• Candidate who wants to pursue journalism course in IIMC should be graduate from any stream with at least 50% from recognized university.
• Candidate who is currently appearing for final year exam can also apply for the entrance exam.
• Candidate who is having work experience in any media sector can have great chance to get admission for the course.
Admission Procedure:
Candidate can download the application form from institute website www.iimc.nic.in . Duly filled form should be sent to the institute along with DD of Rs 1100/- for General category and for SC/ST category Rs 1000/-. Application form can also be obtained from post by sending Rs 1100/- to the registrar of IIMC.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of the candidate is done on the basis of written exam. Then the shortlisted candidates are being called GDPI. If the candidate pass out from these procedure is then selected for the course.
