Maharashtra SSC 2014 result witnesses highest passing rate

As the much awaited result of Maharashtra SSC board for 2014 has been declared, the state has witness a huge success compared to last 4 yrs. The register pass percentage in entire state for this year is 81.8 %, whereas the Mumbai division has witnessed 83%.

As per the report, this year more than 11,000 students have scored above 90%, compared to 9,500 in 2013 in the Mumbai SSC division and 40, 797 across state compared to 31,903 in 2013.

This year more than 17 lakh students appeared for Maharashtra SSC board and had to wait too long for the result which was declared online on 17^th June 2014.

TNEA 2014 result Declared

Anna University has declared Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2014 entrance exam results. This year approx 2 lakh students registered, out of which 1.73 lakh student could sit for the exam. 

The rank list of the entrance exam will be according to the marks secured in class 12th in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects after normalization.

The counseling session for the admission in engineering course will begin from June 23, 2014.

Brushing up the Verbal and Written Skills for B-School Admission

In India, every year nearly 1.75 lakh students join the force to give CAT exam to enter B-School. This is, however, the first stage for the entry, the second stage includes Group Discussion (GD) and Written Ability Test (WAT) along with Personal Interview (PI).

In last few years, group discussions have been replaced by WAT, which is considered as an effective tool to gauge the display of communication, clarity in thoughts and expression. However, the candidate also needs to provide academic record. While the weightage is largely given in the 2^nd stage and also varies from school to school. The role of the second stage is to test aspirant’s analytical, aptitude and seriousness in pursuing the course. Newly aspirant students need to know certain steps that could help in preparing for WAT.

What Exactly WAT is?

Written Ability Test assesses candidates on several different parameters including social, ethical values, clarity in thoughts and effective expression. Candidates need to understand the topic closely before proceeding to express thoughts. WAT is now being considered important part of admission process for MBA in B-Schools.

How to Prepare?

The main part in preparing for WAT is to get back into essay writing process. Start with simple topics and then proceed to the tough one. Reading of articles and other key developments that have undertaken in recent times can be considered for essay writing practice. While writing, emphasizes more on logic and grammar. More importantly, write in active voice and should carry a flow.

Also while writing essay, avoid using examples regularly. Avoid using gender, regional and communal expression that will put you in bad stage. The number of words in essay can be around 500-700 words. Moreover, need to grasp the topic fast and should be able to complete in the allotted time. IIM-B gives 30 mins, IIM-L gives 15 mins and IIM-A as 10 mins.

Maharashtra SSC Board result declared online

Maharashtra SSC class result has been declared online on 17^th June 2014 at 1pm online on the official website of the board. After much delay in the result declaration, the faith of 17 lakh candidate has finally out.

Candidates can check their result by visiting official website http://www.mahresult.nic.in by providing roll number/seat number and mother’s name. The same can also be access via SMS. The BSNL operators are required to type MHSSC <Seat No.> and send it to 57766.

Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) on 16th & 17th June

National Board of Examination (NBE) will be conducting FMGE on 16^th and 17^th June, 2014. The screening test has been introduced by Screening Test Regulations 2002.

NBE is authority to conduct the test. The screening test is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in June and December every year.

NBE’s FMGE 2014 Exam Pattern:

·         The test consists of one paper comprising 300 multiple choices, single correct response questions in English language only, delivered in two parts to be taken in a single day.

·         The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network as per prescribed scheme.

·         There shall be no negative marking

Entire exam will be conducted online.

SSC Result in Maharashtra will be declared on 10th June 2014

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will likely be declaring 10^th result 2014 on 10^th June, 2014 by 1PM. 

Students seeking for result can visit the official website by entering roll no. Also the same can be obtain through SMS by typing MHSSC followed by seat no and send it to 57766.
