XAT Entrance Exam

Xavier Admission Test (XAT) is a national entrance test that is conducted for the admission in post graduate management course in Xavier institute. It is conducted under the guidance of Xavier’s Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. Apart from Xavier institute other top B-Schools in India also accepts XAT exam scores.


This Entrance exam is being conducted for the following courses:

• PG in Rural Management

• PG in Information Management

• PG in Personal Management

Apart from the above it is also conducted for MBA, PGDBA, PGDBM and PGDM.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate who want seek admission for the PG course from any B-school in India has to appear for XAT and also has to complete the eligibility criteria.

• Candidate must be graduate from any recognized university or deemed university with at least 55%.

• Candidate who wants to seek admission in One year programme in General Management Program should b graduate and should posses not less than 5 yrs of managerial work experience.

• Candidate who is currently appearing for final year exam or waiting for the exam result can also apply for the test.

Examination Pattern:

The examination matter for XAT is very difficult to be expect, as it changes every year. But the pattern of the exam is generally divided in two sections:

Objective type questions:

• There are multiple type objective questions where each question carries four options and candidate has to select any one.

• There are 200 questions (which can change year by year) and the duration for the exam is 40minutes.

• One third marks are deducted for wrong answer.

• Questions can be comprises of Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Data Interpretation and GK.

In second section, candidate will be asked to write easy of 250-300 words in 20 minutes.

Application Procedure:

Candidate first has to get registered for XAT at www.xlri.net.in and then downloading the pay-in slip. The candidate has to pay Rs 900/- along with pay in slip. The pay in slip should be sealed by Axis Bank. One can also get registered in this website by paying through DD of Rs 959/- and sending it to the office of XAT

Haryana PMT Entrance Exam

Haryana Pre-medical Test (HPMT) is an entrance exam that is conducted for the undergraduate course in medical and dental science such as MBBS/BDS/BAMS. There are many colleges in Haryana that accepts the scores of HPMT. Students who are having domicile certificate are eligible to appear for this Haryana PMT exam.


Eligibility for Exam:

• Candidate who wants to appear for the Haryana PMT exam should be 10+2 pass out from Haryana Board.

• Candidate must bring at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with English.

• Candidate must not be less than 17 yrs of age.

• Candidate who wants to take admission for BAMS and are not residing in Haryana can apply for 15% quota seats.

Examination Pattern:

The examination pattern for Haryana PMT is fully objective type with 180 questions. The total marks which contain are 720 marks.

Questions will be based from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates will be given 3 hrs and there is no provision for negative marking.

Application Procedure:

The application form can be obtained from university office with the DD of Rs 1200/- or by sending a cheque of Rs 1250/- under the favour of Finance Offcicer of the university.

HPCPMT Entrance Exam

Himachal Pradesh Combined Pre -Medical Test (HPCPMT) is an entrance exam that is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University for various medical and dental courses. It is conducted for undergraduate course. All the colleges and institutes in H.P are affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University and accept the scores of HPCPMT.


Eligibility:

Candidate who wants to appear for HPCPMT exam have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria that are required:

• Candidate should be 10+2 examination from any recognized board.

• Candidate must pass with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and for SC/ST students 45%.

• Candidate who appearing or waiting for 12th exam can also apply for exam

• Candidate should not be less 17yrs.

Exam Pattern:

Candidates are being asked multiple objective type questions in the paper. Exam consists of 3 section:

• Physics

• Chemistry

• Biology

There is no provision for negative marking.

Application Procedure:

The application form can be obtained from post by DD of Rs 1200/- and from Himachal Pradesh university by paying Rs 1150/- and send the filled application form to the Deputy Registrar of H.P University before the due date.

NEST Entrance Exam

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is conducted under the guidance the Department of Atomic Energy for the admission of Master of Science (M.Sc) which is of five yrs. The department also conducted exam for National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Mumbai University and Bhubaneswar.


Eligibility for NEST Exam

• Candidate who wants appear for this exam should be 10+2 pass with at least 60% marks in Physics,  Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board.

• Candidates who are from SC/ST quota can have to bring at least 55%.

• Candidate who is appearing for 12th exam or waiting for the result can apply for the test.

• Candidate should not be more than 25yrs of age.

Examination Pattern:

• The exam pattern for NEST entrance exam fully consist of objective type questions having 4 options. Exam patter is divided into four sections:

• General

• Biology

• Chemistry

• Mathematics

• Physics

• The first part is of 60 marks and rest of the 4 sections comes for 70 marks.

• There is a negative marking provision for wrong answer.

Apart from the written exam candidate also has to under Personal Interview that is conducted on various centers of the exam.

Application Procedure:

Candidate can download the NEST entrance exam application form or can be requested to Chief Coordinator by paying the DD of Rs 500/- for General category and for SC/ST category Rs 250/-.
