Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2014 exam which was held in
the month of May is witnessing negative remarks from takers.
A girl aspiring to admission to an undergraduate course had
attempted 166 questions. According to her, she had got 27 questions wrong and
with deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, her score should have been
132.75. But in the result she earned 15.25.
There are many similar cases seen in this year’s CLAT result
which has certainly angered examinees across country. They are also alleging
miscalculation of answersheets. "I may have to seek physical verification
of the answersheet as I feel that the optical mark recognition, or OMR, sheet
given to me is not mine," said Vishambhar Raghuwanshi, a CLAT examinee.
Meanwhile, Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) organizing
committee of CLAT has refused to comment on the complaints. The result of CLAT
was declared on May 31 but faced technical glitches. Later, after sorting out
the problem, the result was declared again. Many CLAT examinees have now
decided take legal action.
