Waterless urinal, fibre wrapping against earthquake, plastic
from potato starch and solar powered refrigeration system are some innovation
from IIT-Delhi student that will be showcased at Open House 2014.
Besides these innovations, other key exhibits are viable
alternative to compressed natural gas (CNG), a thermometer that checks hemoglobin
instantly, a cholesterol-checking device and such other.
"The platform of Open House is our endeavor to bring in
education, research, innovation and competent designs into the realm of market
and quench the desire of young minds to know more about technology,"
professor Suneet Tuli, dean of research and development department at IIT-Delhi
said today.
In this 10th edition of Open House, there shall
be 140 live demonstration and many student projects including commercial projects.
The exhibition is highly aimed for school and college students.
