A proposal to start UPSC coaching for reserved category
students in Mumbai University has been sent under the leadership of vice
chancellor Rajan Welukar to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training
Institute (BARTI), Pune.
According to the MOU between BARTI, Pune and University of
Mumbai on March 28, 2013, it was stated that BARTI will provide financial
support to university for conducting coaching classes for UPSC exam.
The MOU also states that three batches are allotted to the
university, out of which two batches will be run at Kalina campus, and one at
Ratnagiri sub centre.
The admission will be on the basis of CET scores that will
be conducted by BARTI and centres will be allotted in respective universities.
Each student is eligible to get Rs 4000 pm and book kit by BARTI, Pune, and the
course will run for 12 months.
