Gujarat University says no changes in academics despite semester system

The Gujarat University ahead of its semester has made certain difference to academic activity on campus and its colleges.

Officials said, the second semester would start just after Diwali vacation. But due to number of exams, colleges have reserved their classrooms for exams rather than conducting regular classes.

Officials also added that the actual classroom study takes place for just two months before the final exams in March.

The bachelor of education faculty has already adopted a unanimous resolution to protest against the semester system. It wants the system scrapped and has suggested that just one exam should be held annually.
