CTET 2014 Notification



Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) that will be conducted on February 16, 2014.The entrance exam is conducted for candidate who wants are looking for job to teach for classes’ I-VIII. CTET 2014 will be undertaken across India.

Eligibility for CTET 2014:

The eligibility level to appear for CTET 2014 exam is the candidate should be 10+2 passed out level of study with 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year diploma in Elementary. 

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El. Ed).

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

For SC/ST candidate, 5% relaxation on minimum qualification over eligibility marks approval.

Fees for the Exam:

Fees for CTET 2014 entrance exam are different for both papers:
For only Paper 1 or 2:
OBC/General candidate: Rs 500/-
SC/ST candidate: Rs 250/-

For both papers:

General and OBC candidate: Rs 800/-
SC/ST candidate: Rs 400/-

Application Process:

The application process for CTET 2014 will be provided on the official website www.ctet.nic.in
 
Schools accepting CTET 2014:
  • Central Government schools (KVS,NVS, Tibetan schools etc.), schools under administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Diu, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, and NCT of Delhi.
  • Unaided private schools considering CTET 2014
  • Schools owned and managed by State government or local bodies if the State decides not to conduct State TET.
Exam pattern for CTET 2014:

The exam pattern for CTET 2014 is mentioned below:
  • Objective type question with multiple choice questions (MCQ)
  • No negative marking
  • 2 papers
  • Candidate who wish to teach class I-V have to appear for CTET 2014 paper I.
  • Candidate who wish to teach VI-VIII have to appear paper I.
  • Candidate who wish to teach class I-VIII have to appear for both paper I-II.
