CTET 2014 Notification



Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) that will be conducted on February 16, 2014.The entrance exam is conducted for candidate who wants are looking for job to teach for classes’ I-VIII. CTET 2014 will be undertaken across India.

Eligibility for CTET 2014:

The eligibility level to appear for CTET 2014 exam is the candidate should be 10+2 passed out level of study with 50% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year diploma in Elementary. 

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El. Ed).

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

For SC/ST candidate, 5% relaxation on minimum qualification over eligibility marks approval.

Fees for the Exam:

Fees for CTET 2014 entrance exam are different for both papers:
For only Paper 1 or 2:
OBC/General candidate: Rs 500/-
SC/ST candidate: Rs 250/-

For both papers:

General and OBC candidate: Rs 800/-
SC/ST candidate: Rs 400/-

Schools accepting CTET 2014:
  • Central Government schools (KVS,NVS, Tibetan schools etc.), schools under administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Diu, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, and NCT of Delhi.
  • Unaided private schools considering CTET 2014
  • Schools owned and managed by State government or local bodies if the State decides not to conduct State TET.
Exam pattern for CTET 2014:

The exam pattern for CTET 2014 is mentioned below:
  • Objective type question with multiple choice questions (MCQ)
  • No negative marking
  • 2 papers
  • Candidate who wish to teach class I-V have to appear for CTET 2014 paper I.
  • Candidate who wish to teach VI-VIII have to appear paper I.
  • Candidate who wish to teach class I-VIII have to appear for both paper I-II.

GATE 2014 Notification



Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2014 schedule has been declared, that will be conducted by both Indian Institute of Science and 7 IIT’s across India. The examination will be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays between 1st February to 2nd March 2014. 

GATE exam is a way to join in Post Graduate courses in Engineering like M.E, M.Tech or PhD in National level institute which is very crucial for engineering graduates. GATE 2014 will be organized by IIT Kharagpur.

Eligibility:
The eligibility to appear for GATE 2014 exam is mentioned below:
·         Candidate holding bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy (Post - Diploma / Post-B.Sc / 4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programs are eligible for the exam.

·         Candidate waiting for the final year science or PG Diploma result can appear for the exam.
·         Candidates in the final year of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.S. - M.S. program.
·         Candidates with qualification obtained through examination conducted by professional AMIE by IE (I), AMICE (I) by ICE (I) as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent courses are also eligible for the exam.

New in GATE 2014:
·         This year new paper “Ecology and Evolution” has been introduced.
·         All the papers will be conducted Online Computer Based Test (CBT)
·         Examination for some of the papers in GATE 2014 will be held in multiple sessions. Exact details on complete examination schedule will be notified at a later date. 

GATE 2014 Exam Process:
The question paper for GATE 2014 will consist of both multiple-choice type and numerical answer type questions. For multiple choice type questions, candidates have to choose the answer from the given choices. For numerical answer type questions; the candidates have to enter a number as the answer using a virtual keypad.  

GATE 2014 exam fees for Male candidate-Rs 1500/-, for women- Rs 750/-.

Application Process:
The application process for GATE 2014 is mentioned below:
The information about the application process for GATE 2014 is available in single GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). The application process will be considered complete only when a printout of the filled ONLINE application with the candidate’s signature and a good quality photograph affixed in the appropriate place is received by the respective Zonal GATE offices along with necessary documents, if any, on or before 10th October 2013. 

The admit card will not be sent through e-mail or post. The card can ONLY be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites from 1st January 2014. One of the following photo identifications is ONLY permitted: Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Employee identification card, or a notarized affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. 

The challan for the exam fees can be paid either by State Bank of India or Syndicate Bank.

Important Dates:
·         Commencement of online application: 2nd September 2013 (Monday)
·         Last date for submission of Application : 3rd October 2013 (Thursday)
·         Last date for receipt of hard copy of application with documents at respective GATE Offices: 10th October 2013 (Thursday).

JAM 2014 Exam Notification



Indian Institute of Technology (IIT’s) across India has released notification for Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2014 for the admission in 2 year M.Sc, Joint M.Sc, Ph.D, Dual Degree and other PG courses in IIT and IISc. The registration can be done between 16th September and 12th October, 2013. The application process is entirely online.

This year the institute has changed certain procedure to apply for the JAM exam. Mentioned below are few changes applied:

·            Application Forms will NOT be sold through Banks.
·          Applications will be accepted only through Online Process.
·           CA and GP Test Papers have been discontinued.
·          Entry to the programs which required a candidate to qualify in GP-Test Paper will be through PH.
·          MCA, M.Tech in Geological Technology and M.Tech in Geophysical Technology will not be offered from 2014-15 Academic Year.

Eligibility:
Candidate applying for the exam should carry bachelor’s degree certificate with 50% from the recognized university.  Candidate will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in JAM. 

How to apply:
Candidate can apply for the exam form through online, directly from the official website of IITK. ONLINE Form can be modified/updated as desired until the candidate has paid examination fee. The last date for payment of Examination Fee is 12th October, 2013. The fee can be paid either through net-banking or a challan. The payment for the exam fees will be accepted only at SBI.
All the documents including the application and category certificate along with copy of bank challan payment and PUL payment receipt should be sent by Speed / Registered Post so as to reach "Chairperson JAM 2014, IIT Kanpur" before 23rd October, 2013. 

Fees Details:
For female: Rs 1075/- (For two test paper)
For Male: Rs 2125/- (For two test paper)
JAM 2014 exam will be held on 9th February, 2014. The result will be declared on 16th April, 2014.

Important dates:
·         Commencement of online registration for JAM 201 exam: 16th September, 2013
·         Last date of payment: 12th October, 2013
·         Last date for receipt of completed Online Registration Form along with two Photographs, payment details and SC/ST/PD and OBC (NCL) Certificate(s) at IIT Kanpur: 23rd October, 2013.
·         JAM exam date: 9th February, 2013.
·         Announcement of result: 16th April, 2014
·         Issue of Application Form for admission by JAM office of IIT Kanpur/downloading from website of IIT Kanpur: 17-24 April, 2014.
