Located in Hyderabad, Dr. B.R Ambedkar Open University was established in 26^th August  1982 is also known called as Andhra University is the premier university offering distance learning course for students who cannot seek admission in the university.  The distance learning from this university has helped many working professional who want to complete their studies. University has got 200 study centers in Hyderabad and other states across India.

All the study centers of this university are equipped with all the facilities that are required for students to learn. students will be getting all the study materials for the specific subject taken by student. This study centers have self learning printed materials, good quality of audio and video equipments through which students can have chat with their lecturers. They can clear all their doubts regarding subjects.  From its 200 study centers, 7 are reserved only for women. 

This open university offers UG, PG, Certificate course, diploma course and specialized course in respective fields. All the courses are being approved by DEC.

Admission Procedure for Dr. B.R Ambedkar Open University:

Candidate has to undergo entrance exam for UG (Science) PG for all courses conducted by university.  Candidate can obtain the application form from “The Director” of the distance education by paying DD of Rs 500/- drawn from Nationalized bank or from State Bank of Hyderabad under the favor of Director of AHERF.

Candidate can also download the form through university website http://www.braou.ac.in  by paying Rs 500/- under the directors favor. Apart from that candidate can also obtain the application form from State Bank of Hyderabad. the application form should be submitted before the due date.
