NEST Entrance Exam

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is conducted under the guidance the Department of Atomic Energy for the admission of Master of Science (M.Sc) which is of five yrs. The department also conducted exam for National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Mumbai University and Bhubaneswar.


Eligibility for NEST Exam

• Candidate who wants appear for this exam should be 10+2 pass with at least 60% marks in Physics,  Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board.

• Candidates who are from SC/ST quota can have to bring at least 55%.

• Candidate who is appearing for 12th exam or waiting for the result can apply for the test.

• Candidate should not be more than 25yrs of age.

Examination Pattern:

• The exam pattern for NEST entrance exam fully consist of objective type questions having 4 options. Exam patter is divided into four sections:

• General

• Biology

• Chemistry

• Mathematics

• Physics

• The first part is of 60 marks and rest of the 4 sections comes for 70 marks.

• There is a negative marking provision for wrong answer.

Apart from the written exam candidate also has to under Personal Interview that is conducted on various centers of the exam.

Application Procedure:

Candidate can download the NEST entrance exam application form or can be requested to Chief Coordinator by paying the DD of Rs 500/- for General category and for SC/ST category Rs 250/-.

Later the duly filled form should be sent to the chief coordinator of NEST exam. You can get the information for exam from the www.nestexam.in
