IIT Madras HSEE

Humanities and Social Science Entrance Exam (HSEE) is conducted by IIT Madras. It is an online test conducted for students to seek admission in 5yrs integrated masters program.  IIT Madras is a premier institute in India and is also recognized by Government of India.  Admission for the course is purely based on the scores from HSEE. It is an online exam conducted by the institution in various centers across India.

Courses:

·         MA in Economics

·         English Studies

·         Development Studies

Eligibility:

Students who want to appear for the HSEE have to complete all the eligibility criteria.

·         Candidate should have 12^th passing certificate with at least 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized state board.

·         Candidate who is appearing for the final exam can also apply for the test, but it is mandatory to submit the passing certificate after the result or else the admission would be cancelled.

·         Candidate’s age must not be above 25 yrs.

Examination Pattern:

The exam pattern for HSEE is divided into 2parts which students have to answer in 3hrs:

Part One:

Candidates will be asked questions from English, Comprehensive skills, Analytical and Quantitative ability and General Knowledge questions. All questions will be objective type multiple questions with the time duration of 2 ½ hrs.

Part 2:

There will be essay writing test on given topic with the time duration of ½ hrs.

Application Procedure:

Candidate who wants to appear for HSEE exam can apply through online at http://hsee.iitm.ac.in/aspr.html and download the form. You can pay through credit card or through DD of certain cash from selected branches of SBI or Indian Bank of India.

Test centers:

HSEE exam is conducted in various centers like Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore, Delhi and Hyderabad
