GAT PGT Exam

GITAM University Admission Test for Post Graduate Test (GAT PGT) is an entrance exam that is conducted for students who want to seek admission for PG course in technical programs. It is an online test, so it is mandatory that students must know basic knowledge of computer. GITAM university is a deemed university and is recognized by UGC.

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for GAT PGT are according to the courses for which students wants to seek admission:

·         For M.Tech: Candidate must complete B.Tech course from any recognized university

·         For M.Tch in Computer Science and Technology, students must complete B.tech or B.E

·         For M.Tech in Software Engineering candidate should possess B.E or B.Tech from Computer Science, IT, Electronics Instrumentation or Information Systems

·         For M.Tech in IT candidate must possess bachelors degree from B.Tech or B.E from any of the branches like Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science or Information Systems

Examination Pattern:

Candidate who is appearing for the GAT PGT exam have to answer paper which is divided into three parts:

·         Part I: Consists of 40 questions from Numerical Data

·         Part II: Consist of 30 questions from  Reasoning and  Intelligence

·         Part III:  Consists of  30 questions from Verbal Ability

All the questions are objective type question with the time duration of 2hrs. For every right answer candidate will gain 3 marks and for wrongs there is 1 negative mark.

Application Procedure:

Candidate can download the application form through university website www.gitam.edu. And submit the application form along with the DD of Rs 1000/- under the favor of GITAM University.

Candidate can also obtain the application form from selected branches of Union Bank of India and Indian Bank. It can also be obtained through post by paying DD of Rs 1,100 under the favor of GITAM University.

GAT PGT exam centers are Warangal, Vishakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Nagpur, Kurnool, Kolkata, Jamsedhpur, Hyderabad, Guntur, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Bhubaneswar.
