Annamalai University established in 1929 and is located in Tamil Nadu is one of the premier university in India. There are several colleges in TN that are affiliated with this university. The Directorate of Distance Learning offers various courses in its distance learning programme. It is equipped with good facilities and infrastructure. Apart from this it also offers programmes like Hotel Management, Textile, Fashion, Retail Management and other courses. All the programmed that are offered by DDL is being approved by Distance Education Council, New Delhi.

Annamalai University has got good facilities for its students with good campus around, central Library, Laboratories to research projects for PhD and Hostels. University gives special attention in developing Physical Education Department.
