The education board seeks clarification on medical examination



Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) have sent a letter to state health department seeking clarification on medical examination and admission procedure for medical course.

It has asked the department whether the state is conducting admission on the basis of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (Guj CET) or will follow the regular NEET.

According to GSHSEB officials, the board which conducts the examination has still not made any arrangement for conducting GujCET. "There is no clarification over admission rules, or on whether to conduct GujCET or follow NEET. Hence we have sought clarification from the health department which is supposed to frame the rules," said an official.

With no updates regarding the medical admission, approx 35,000 to 40,000 students have no clue whether they will have to appear for GujCET as well. 

In 2013, the state had decided to hold GujCET for admissions in medical and dental courses across the state, if there was any delay in holding NEET for medical admissions.

MBA remains most preferred degree in metros- Survey



With B-Schools are spreading their branch in every corner of the country, but MBA still remains the preferred degree for tier 2 towns in India. 

Survey conducted by India College Search, in its MBA in India report has pointed that the increasing trend on professional degree has seen positive response.

As per the report, top 100 cities by population in India - the top eight cities garnered almost 61% of the searches, while the other 92 cities received just 39% of the searches for MBA. Cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Noida has seen emerging interest cities.

Tips to successful pass out Video Interview on Skype



Interview is the period or can be said as the process that needs to be passed out successfully. Face to face interview is the common method followed in colleges and companies. But when it comes to seeking admission to college in other country, interview through Skype is becoming an important ways to seek candidates for the admission. In case of international applicants, video or telephonic interview is preferred mode if students find it difficult to visit campus.

By having video interview, interviewer wants to see that you’ve thought about all aspects of college life. Skype is now being largely preferred way to have video interview allowing to understand perspective of student’s personality.  Mentioned below are few tips on successfully passing video interview through Skype.

1)      Professional look: It is important to have professional username and picture to give an impressive look on your personality. Creating a username with your first and last name is the ideal option.
