USPC declares Results of Civil Service (Main)



Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of Civil Service (Main) on Tuesday.  The written exams were held in the month of December.

The result of the exam can be viewed on www.upsc.gov.in . passed out candidate will be called for personality test for selection to Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other Group A and B central services, said a release by the Ministry of Personnel.

The Personality Tests will be conducted in the month of April, in UPSC office Delhi. Candidates will be required to produce original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, physical handicap (if any) along with other documents such as questionnaire, attestation form and TA form, etc.

No request for a change in the date and time of the interview will be entertained, the release said.

IIFT completes its Final Placement with 15% increase in Average Salary



IIFT Delhi and Kolkata have completed the final placement for the batch 2012-14. With the completion, the average salary saw an increase of 15% compared to last year’s placement. As per the report, the average salary for 2014 batch is Rs 14.32 lac per annum. 

Some of the top recruiters are: Flipkart, JP Morgan, Cognizant Business Consulting, Goldman Sachs and Google. Each company offered with different positions. IIFT students were also offered with international placements. Some of the companies are- Bunge, Cargill, Louis Dreyfus, Tricon Energy, Triton Group, Trimex International and Phoenix Commodities.

VITEEE Application form date extended to March



VIT Engineering Entrance Exam 2014 invites application for engineering course and the last date for application is 10th March 2014.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) every year conducts entrance exam for the admission of B. Tech programme offered to its campus located in Vellore and Chennai. The entrance exam will be an online based test and invites thousands of students every year.

The VITEEE will be held from 9th April to 20th April 2014. 

Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for the entrance exam 10+2 pass out from science background.

Registration Process:
Candidate can register through 2 ways- online and offline process.

Online Process:
Candidate can apply online by visiting the official website of VIT and the application fees can be paid by DD or online. The fees for the application form is Rs 925/- 

Candidate can also pay offline in cash or DD, and the fees for application form is Rs 975/-. The DD should be under the favor of VIT University.
